UPICO was established about two decades ago by the apex financial institutions of the country, namely, Industrial Development Bank of India (IDBI). Industrial Finance Corporation of India (IFCI) and Industrial Credit & Investment Corporation of India (ICICI) in association with national banks and state level industrial development and financial institutions with an objective to provide comprehensive consultancy services to the prospective entrepreneurs belonging to small and medium sector.
